Day 08 - A beautiful day in Copenhagen, Denmark...

Type introduction here

We cruised into Copenhagen early in the morning.  We disembarked for a leisurely 2-3 hour walking tour - stopping along the way at the Gefion Fountain, the New Opera House, Amalienborg Palace, the Marble Church, and the Citadel.  After the tour, we went back to our ship for lunch.

In the afternoon adventurous Angela went out for a special tour of the Tivoli Gardens. We attended yet another lecture in the evening (“Art in Berlin”), then had dinner on board.

Another perfect weather day, highs in the low 70s. Leaving Copenhagen tonight en route to Warnemünde/Rostock, Germany.

The classic Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen harbor. It was hard to get a good picture, there were lots of tourists around who felt compelled to get up close and personal with the mermaid...

Lesser known but also fun is this Polar Bear statue, commemorating Danish polar explorers...

A statue honoring Princess Marie of Denmark.
