Berlin Reunion 2004
A fun time was had by all at the 2004 Annual Berlin Air Force Reunion held at historic Blob's Park in wonderful downtown Jessup, Maryland. About 30 old and older ex-Berliners made it this year, many from the local area but some coming in from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and even farther afield. Travel honors this year go to Lee Riedel who mushed in from Minnesota via dog sled, Rob Thomas who came up from Texas, and Juliette Ochieng who flew in from California. An honorable mention goes to Penny and Jack Courtney who just PCSed back in from Japan.

While we are all getting older, it doesn't mean we are technophobes. Digital cameras abounded, Mike "Whiskey" Walker's camera was particularly obnoxious with a strobe light bright enough to redirect aircraft from nearby BWI airport. Mike Miller brought in his daughter's Apple laptop and ran a great tabletop slide show of his recent trip back to Berlin. Highlights were pictures from on top of the old ops building at Teufelsberg which apparently is being turned into luxury condos if you can believe it!!

Despite the multitude of cameras, we didn't get pictures of everybody (could have been the result of beer-induced hypoxia). In any case, below are some pictures we DID take. Enjoy!!
