The evening started out on a less than auspicious note. Early arrivers were met by a squadron of police and other emergency-type vehicles, apparently dealing with the discovery of human remains (no joke) in the woods bordering the Blob's access road.
Undeterred, nearly 50 ex-Berliners and associates made it past the police cordon to the reunion --- this may be a record! The ranks were undoubtably swelled by the strong showing from the raucous flock of Baker Flight Buzzards who flew in from all over hell and creation to meet and greet and swap old wall stories. The early email threats of disrobement and nakedness posted on the Mari Yahoo website (that would be here) were apparently empty, but then so were many, many pitchers of that delectible Blob's beer, so all was not lost. And the night was capped off with a round of 50 (count 'em) shots of Apfelkorn! Glad I missed that, I had an unfortunate run-in with Apfelkorn many years ago (at Mano's Balkan Grill I vaguely seem to recall). The Apfelkorn won, I still get nauseous smelling the stuff... :)
Anyways, Angela did her very best to snap photos of all attendees. If she missed anybody is was either an accident or she was well paid. Here's the take... and we all to see all of you and more next year!
