Day 7 - Goodbye Rhone, Hello Seine!

After a leisurely breakfast, we emptied out our staterooms and disembarked from our first cruise ship, the Viking Delling, for the short trip to the local train station.  We then boarded a high-train for the two-hour trip up to Paris.  In Paris, they loaded us back on a bus for the ride to our new cruise ship, the Viking Rinda, which was already docked on the Seine just outside of Paris.  Same ship floorplan and even the same cabin number, our bags were waiting for us.  Unpacked a little, had some lunch, and then disembarked in the early afternoon for a leisurely walk down the St. Germain district in Paris.

Goodbye Viking Delling, it was fun! Boarding the train to Paris!

Afternoon walking tour, here the Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye, a former royal palace.  No kidding! A view of the gardens.

Angela hiding behind another tree... Continuing our walk in St. Germain, we passed, wait for it, another church!  It started clouding up later in the afternoon, perhaps some rain coming in?

Last stop, courtyard outside/behind the Hotel Pavillon Henri IV...

... which had pretty spectacular views.  What's that tower in the distance?  Maybe we'll see it again, perhaps?
