Day 15 - A free day in Berlin, then home!

On Friday we had a free day. In the morning we took the S-Bahn out to Wittenbergplatz to go to KaDeWe (Kaufhaus des Westens) and Karstadt (because apparently we needed another suitcase, how is that possible?). In the evening we had dinner with a former work colleague and his wife at a local restaurant. The Wienerschnitzel and the Hefeweizen were fabulous! |

| The Wittenbergplatz U-Bahnhof. This should look familar to all our former Berlin Air Force friends... | From the U-Bahnhof we strolled down the Ku-Damm to KaDeWe, aka Kaufhaus des Westens. One of the largest department stores in Europe, maybe the largest if you do not count the UK (Harads). |

| We flew out the next morning. Tegel to Munich to Chicago to Kansas City. Long, long trip but it was great to get back home! More adventures to follow in 2019! |
