Our first "big" trip after retiring was a two-week river cruise in September/ October 2016. We started in Budapest, Hungary, cruised down the Danube River through Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and into Germany, transited to the Main River via the Main-Danube canal, then traveled down the Main River to the Rhein river, ending our cruise in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Small ship, only 90 or so passengers, so very different than any of the ocean cruises we have taken. See links below for a day-by-day review.
